tablet pc or graphic tablet?

:D Hey! how's everyone doin' ?

I'm planning to buy a graphic tablet of prolly 9"x12" or 6"x8" depends how a tablet works. but a friend of mine recommended me to buy a tablet pc. wich also could be used as a graphic tablet. but I dunno if the pc ia as good as a graphic tablet. so what would you guys recommend me? I don't know how the these tablets work.
